Monad is an initiative taken by Geetha M Kanthasamy, an architect turned Yoga professional to promote the ancient Indian art of Yoga. Geetha is best known for her clear, precise and exact teaching style that weaves together her depth of understanding and years of experience beautifully, to make yoga accessible to students of all levels. In the words of her students: Geetha’s compassionate dedication to yoga inspires and holds space for students at Monad to take the journey deeper into body, mind and soul than they ever could have imagined. Geetha is a certified Yoga teacher trained in the tradition of Shri Krishnamacharya.

She has done 500+ hours of teacher training in  Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, Chennai, 100 hour Advanced teacher training program in Vinyasa Krama Yoga from  Shri Srivatsa Ramaswami, direct disciple of Shri Krishnamacharya and 500 hours Yoga Therapy from International Yoga Academy at Asana Andiappan College of Yoga. Geetha is a Level 2 QCI Yoga Teacher certified by the Ministry of Ayush, India . She is a registered Yoga Teacher RYT-500 certified by Yoga Alliance
She enjoys imparting yogic knowledge to people, making them understand the significance of yoga and how it influences the mind, body and soul. She believes in customizing yoga for every individual based on their needs and goals. ‘Yoga is for everyone’ is the main concept at Monad Yoga studio as sessions are offered at varying intensity levels suiting every individual.

Girija’s teaching reflects the world-renowned Krishnamacharya tradition and the embodied experience of many years of dedicated practice. She has a rare capacity to eloquently convey the richness of spiritual life in our contemporary world through her total body Dynamic Vinyasa Krama flows .

She is a certified Yoga Therapist, certified by Yoga Vahini – accredited by International Association of Yoga Therapists. Yoga has always been there for Girija, no matter her external circumstances, or state of mind. Prior to her career in yoga, she studied mathematics and brings that same clear and precise exactness to her teaching style.
What began as a purely physical practice led Girija to discover the many spiritual and mental benefits of a well-rounded yoga practice. Having completed her teachers training in Yoga Rakshanam , she uses her experience of over 9 years  to help students discover how yoga can  uncover and embrace their true selves.

Honey Rani’s inclusive view of yoga for weight-loss inspires her skillfully sequenced classes that combine pranayama, surya namaskar, asanas and yoga nidra intelligently to leave students feeling invigorated and great. Her fast paced classes aim to produce an overall sense of strength, power and well being, regardless of level of ability.

She weaves together her depth of experience in teaching Sivananda style yoga for over 10 years, and holds high regard for the simplicity of the practice. Attaining full body connectivity has become paramount in Honey Rani’s philosophy of teaching, as she pays close attention to the details, focusing on mindfully working on each area of the body. She is a compassionate teacher who can connect with any person irrespective of their age. Her adaptability gives her the unique ability to teach kids programs, advanced level asana programs as well as gentle yoga for seniors.

Jaya’s philosophy is to bring the two wings of CrossFit and yoga to her students on and off their mats. While her yoga background helps bring a greater sense of peace, while being mindful and opening the heart, her functional fitness and strength training mindset helps her students stay focused, clear, strong and determined throughout the sessions.

Jaya, an expert in diverse movement modalities wears many hats through her diverse training. She holds a post-graduate diploma in yoga studies from Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram and is a certified kettlebell instructor(Level 1 &2) from Energy Kettlebell Fitness Academy (EKFA). While CrossFit and yoga may seem like polar opposites at first, her ‘Super Body Super Brain’ instructor certification fusions neuroscience and fitness, making her the perfect fit for your fitness goals.
Students can expect a practice incorporating, core work, vinyasa flows, as well as deep restorative poses to balance out the strong asana sequences. All her classes offer thoughtful, intentional and dynamic movement with compassion at the helm.

Neela’s classes dynamically blend chanting, asanas and breath guided Vinyasa sequences, with a focus on careful alignment. Masterful at synthesis, her ability to harvest and transmit the unique contributions of various yoga methods is unparalleled. Using research-based yoga and mindfulness meditation tools, Neela’s Pranayama and Meditation classes help her students navigate through the challenges of today’s world.

Neela, known for her passion and clarity, completed her Teacher’s training from Yoga Rakshanam and now has over 8 years of experience as a Yoga teacher.
For years, Neela has maintained an enthusiastic personal practice that is dedicated to asana and pranayama study in the Krishnamacharya tradition. Her intense dedication to practice and teaching Vedic chanting, inspire her students to stay present and go inwards.

While loving all yoga paths, kids yoga has been Raji’s mainstay. Her core philosophy is to deepen the understanding of the physical, mental, emotional, and intellectual development of the child.
Not only are Raji’s classes creative and fun, they also allow kids to cultivate body awareness- which brings clarity and concentration to their lives. Through games and asana variations, she engages kids and gets them to break a sweat and laugh out loud, all at once.

Roopa’s unique style of teaching blends both Vinyasa and Hatha yoga with emphasis on alignment and core strengthening. Her classes are fluid and accessible which enables students to tap into their body’s needs and discover their individual strength.

Roopa’s palpable and infectious passion for yoga traces back to her own practice which she began in 2003 at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM). She subsequently left her full time marketing job to complete her 500+ hours of teachers training at KYM. She has also completed 100 hour Advanced teacher training program in Vinyasa Krama Yoga from  Shri Srivatsa Ramaswami, direct disciple of Shri Krishnamacharya.
She aims to make her classes fresh, uplifting and fun for all levels through her gentle flow-styled sequence, that intelligently blends proper alignment and healthy breath awareness. Her philosophy is rooted in engendering a deep feeling of ease and strength in practitioners after each class.
When she is not on the mat you can find Roopa writing, or with her nose buried in a book, continuing to be a student of life.

Saravanan’s teaching is very dynamic, and his emphasis on alignment and pose integrity allows students to safely deepen their practice and build full body strength and control – all while gaining a rich understanding of classical Ashtanga nuanced yoga postures. Staying fit was always very important to Saravanan, who could be spotted at the gym, cycling along the beach or running long distances. Yet, he always felt that there was something missing. He yearned not just for the fitness of the body, but the  tranquility  of his mind and soul. 
It was then, that he started his journey of Yoga. Known for his incredible wisdom and in-depth understanding of yoga anatomy and alignment, Saravanan’s teaching is informed by years of study in Ashtanga Style and diverse background of movement modalities.
Saravanan has trained from various world renowned institutes like Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy, The International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre and has acquired the prestigious title of Yoga Acharya (Master of Yoga). He currently travels teaching and assisting his Swamis for the international Sivananda Vedanta Yoga projects around the world.
