Roopa’s unique style of teaching blends both Vinyasa and Hatha yoga with emphasis on alignment and core strengthening. Her classes are fluid and accessible which enables students to tap into their body’s needs and discover their individual strength.

Roopa’s palpable and infectious passion for yoga traces back to her own practice which she began in 2003 at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM). She subsequently left her full time marketing job to complete her 500+ hours of teachers training at KYM. She has also completed 100 hour Advanced teacher training program in Vinyasa Krama Yoga from Shri Srivatsa Ramaswami, direct disciple of Shri Krishnamacharya.
She aims to make her classes fresh, uplifting and fun for all levels through her gentle flow-styled sequence, that intelligently blends proper alignment and healthy breath awareness. Her philosophy is rooted in engendering a deep feeling of ease and strength in practitioners after each class.
When she is not on the mat you can find Roopa writing, or with her nose buried in a book, continuing to be a student for life.
